Alicia W. Richmond

Alicia W. Richmond, "Lee", (nee Walty), passed away on January 10, 2017 at the age of 77.  Born in Jersey City, Lee was a life long resident.  She was employed as a dental sales representative and later by the Jersey City Parking Authority, from where she later retired.

A true and dedicated "daughter" of Jersey City, Lee gave her time back to the city in many ways.  She was very active in politics, doing much work for the Democratic Party and was instrumental in the revitalizing of Liberty State Park.

Lee is survived by her brother Albert Walty and his wife Alice of Montvale, NJ; dear aunt of Alyson Wells and husband Joseph, of Springfield, VA; Amanda Caruso and husband Drew of Oakland, NJ and Michael Walty and wife Shannon of Ramsey, NJ; great aunt of her cherished nieces and nephews, Kaylyn Caruso, Taylor Caruso, Madeline Walty, Henry Wells and Benjamin Walty.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2017, from 3 to 8 PM.  Family and friends may assemble at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 11 AM, followed by burial in Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
