Martin Caverly

Martin Caverly of Jersey City passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at his residence.  He was 57.  
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Martin came to the United States in 1989.  He met his beloved wife and best friend, Jennifer while they both were attending NJCU (then Jersey City State College).  The two were married in 1991 and they settled in Jersey City to raise their family.
Martin loved working and the people with whom he worked.  He spent the last 13 years with Kobo Products, Inc. in Piscataway as a Software Developer    Prior to that he worked in Information Technology for AIG in New York City.  
Martin had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, he was an avid coin collector, adored anything outdoors: camping, hiking and fishing; appreciated movies, especially Westerns and was an amazing cook. What Martin loved above all else was his beautiful family and he devoted himself to taking care of them in every way.
Martin is survived by his adoring wife Jennifer Caverly; his cherished children Jonathan, Janet and Johanson Caverly; 3 brothers and 3 sisters and a host of extended family here and in Vietnam.
Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ  07306 on Sunday from 3:00pm-8:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 9:30am prior to the funeral mass which will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Church, 2217 Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City at 10:30am.  Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
