Mary Z. Kakaryka

Mary Z. Kakaryka, "Mae", (nee Brown), passed away, peacefully, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the age of 88.  Mary was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident.  She was a devoted parishioner of St. Aedan's Church and parish community member for over sixty years.

Mary was employed as a Teacher's Aide for Vo Tech High School in Jersey City, as well as a waitress for many years at the Hilltop Restaurant.

Mary is the beloved wife of the late Frank W. Kakaryka; loving sister of Katherine Costigan and her husband, the late John Costigan, Anne Nixon and her husband George Nixon, and the late Robert Brown and Eleanor Kavanagh; devoted aunt of several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2017, at St. Aedan's Church at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
