Irene M. (Honey) Seremba

Irene Mary (Honey) Seremba (nee Ouimette) of Jersey City passed away at Christ Hospital on Monday, March 20, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family.  She was 88.

Born in Jersey City, she remained a lifelong resident, raising her family and devoting herself to them. A devout Catholic, Irene was a member of the parish of Our Lady of Victories for over 60 years.  She was an active member of the Our Lady of Victories Rosary Society, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel 50 Plus Club, the Theresan’s and the Saint Aedan’s Golden Club.

Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, Joseph G. Seremba, Jr.; her mother Anna Egan Ouimette and her sister Rose Ouimette.  She is survived by her loving children, Margaret Seremba, Ellen Seremba-Haggiag, Thomas Seremba and Seton Seremba-Brown; her cherished grandchildren Gregory and Julia Seremba and Brianne Brown and her sons-in-law Jacques Haggiag and Jim Brown.
Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ  07306 on Friday from 3:00pm-9:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 9:00 am prior to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Church, 2217 Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.  

In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s memory to Hudson Hospice, 93 Clerk Street, Jersey City, NJ  07305, would be greatly appreciated.

Oh how I will always remember the great times we had at the campground- always plenty of laughs food coffee and cake and best of all friendship rest in peace my dear friend
