James B. Riccardi

James B. Riccardi of Jersey City passed away on June 22, 2017 at Jersey City Medical Center while surrounded by his loving family.  He was 63.

Jimmy was loved by everyone.  He had a tremendous sense of wit and was a master storyteller who kept everyone engaged.  He was passionate in how he lived and how he loved particularly with his love of cooking, the Oakland Raiders and most of all, his family.  He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Benedict and Eileen and his brother Michael.  His is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Patricia (Nee Tomczak); devoted children, Matthew, Lisa and Daniel; cherished granddaughter Madison; sisters, Lois Anne Gross and Mary Ellen Branagan; brother Martin Riccardi; his devoted pup, Jack  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention but all dear to him.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306, on Monday, from 4 to 8 PM.  Relatives and friends may assemble at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 10 AM, prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Church at 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Dear Patti, Matt, Dan , Lisa and all family members. Jimmy was a special man, always amicable, regardless of the situation. If any man had the pleasure to work with Jimmy, the memories of it would last forever. Jimmy will be sorely missed. I am confident that he will be as welcomed by all in his new life as he was in this life.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to Patti and the Riccardi family and friends of Jimmy. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) gives us hope at Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. May these promises from Jehovah God bring you comfort. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 11:23-25)
