William H. "Jinx" Graw

William H. "JINX" Graw of Lyndhurst passed away on October 2, 2016 while surrounded by his family.

Born in Jersey City, he bravely served as a Jersey City Police Officer for the past 28 years.  William was a Trustee of the Police Officers Benevolent Association and the Fraternal Order of Police He was also a member of the Hispanic American Law Enforcement Association and the Jersey City Emerald Society.

Jinx, as he was lovingly referred to by his friends and family, had a heart of gold.  He was known for opening his home and heart to many and his generosity and kindness are legendary.  He had a particularly soft spot for the elderly.  William was a fabulous baker,an avid currency collector and a talented carpenter.  He could fix just about anything with ease.

Jinx was predeceased by his father Henry Graw, Sr. and his brother, Henry Graw, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Andrea (nee' Viscardo); his cherished daughters, Alexandria J. Graw and Gianna N. Graw; his mother, Margaret Graw; siblings, Louis Sierio, Harold Hughes, James Hughes, Judy O'Brien, Gertie O'Brien and Christina Graw and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention, but all very dear to him.

Visitation will held at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ  on Wednesday from 3-8pm and Thursday morning from 10am-12pm.  The funeral service will be held at McLaughlin Funeral Home at 12:00pm followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
