Jeanette Walsh

Jeanette Walsh (nee Straub) of Jersey City passed away peacefully on January 20, 2017 at Saint Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born in Scranton, PA, she lived in Jersey City for most of her life where she worked as a Data Entry Clerk for Basil Castrovinci Associates before retiring in 2009.She was a communicant of St. Anne R.C. Church.

The beloved wife of the late Peter F. Walsh, she is survived by her sons Peter F., Jr. and Scott and his wife Keio
and two granddaughters, Gillian and Kaede. Jeanette is also survived by her siblings, Cathy McCarthy, Mary Piazzaand Jay Straub, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Ave., Jersey City on Tuesday, January 24th from 4-8 PM. Family and friends are invited to assemble at the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 10 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne R.C. Church at 11 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanette's memory to The American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.

Here are some special memories shared by family and friends.
Jeanette loved her sons and grandchildren with all her heart. She would play candyland and cherry'o with Gillian and Kaede for hours. The best memory Kaede has she keeps telling me is when Nanny and Uncle Pete surprised us when we were in Disneyland. RIP Jeanette I will take care of Peter and Scottie now.

Aunt Jeanette was a wonderful women, one who made me feel like I was part of the family the minute we met. Her smile and laughter was beautiful as she would tell some tales on dear Uncle Pete.. She will be greatly missed. ILY, RIP .Bev Tice
