Mahitha Devarapalli

Mahitha Devarapalli passed away peacefully at Jersey City, NJ, with her husband by her side. She was born in Vijayawada, India in the loving family of Venkata Ramana & Jostna Bongarala. Being the only girl in the family, she is beloved by her brothers and parents.

She graduated in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Siddhartha Engineering College Vijayawada India and worked at AP Transco as Assistant Engineer before her marriage.

Mahitha was very faithful and humble, a good daughter, an amazing sister, noble wife and a loving mother. She was a God fearing person and her thoughts always leaned towards scripture and prayer. She was a member of the Gospel Association of India, Vijayawada,   Infant Jesus Church, Gannavaram India,  Immaculate Conception Church, Kettering Ohio,  St Bridget’s of Ireland Parish in Stamford CT,  Saint Aloysius Parish, Jersey City NJ and the  Telugu Christian Fellowship, Jersey City NJ

Mahitha is survived by her loving children Doen Joseph (2010) and Mary Catherine (2012); her husband Christopher; her parents, brothers and extended family.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City on Friday, March 4, 2016 between 3:00 - 8:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to Our Lady of Mercy Church, 40 Sullivan Dr, Jersey City for the funeral mass on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 899 Lincoln Ave, Piscataway Township, NJ 08854.
