Virginia A. Tozzi

Virginia A. Tozzi passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.  She was 93.

Born and raised in Jersey City, Viginia was a longtime devoted parishioner of Holy Rosary Church.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Samuel Tozzi; her parents, Benjamin and Theresa (nee Veneziano) Miceli; brothers, John, Joseph, Paul and James and her granddaughter, Erika Nicole Gussey.

"Ginger" as she was lovingly referred to is survived by her daughters, Rosemary and her husband Neil J. Pedersen and Carol and her husband Frank Gussey;her grandchildren, Michele and her husband Mark A. Montecalvo, Erik Gussey and Dana Gussey; and twin great grandsons, Salvatore and Vincenzo Montecalvo. Aunt Ginger also leaves many nephews and nieces along with their families to cherish her memory, She was the loving step grandparent to James Pedersen and Jenifer Pedersen Herdin and their families.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invite to assemble at the funeral home on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:00 am prior to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church at 11:00am.  Interment will follow at New York Bay View Cemetery, Jersey City.

The family requests that donations in her memory be made to The Alexandra Rose Tozzi Foundation, PO Box 47, Spring Lake, NJ  07762 or to Holy Rosary Church, 344 6th Street, Jersey City, NJ  07302.
