Wilma H. Vaughan

Wilma H. Vaughan (nee Pegel) a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away at Christ Hospital on Jaunary 17, 2017 after a brief illness. She was 82.

A member of the Communications Workers of America, she worked as a Senior Clerk Typist for the Hudson County Superior Court Special Civil Part from the early 1980's until her retirement in 2000. An active member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish, Wilma was a former BINGO volunteer and bowled for many years with the Rosary Society Bowling League. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and was an avid fan of the New York Mets.

Wilma is predeceased by her husband, Richard M. and sister Lillian Ferone. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Antczak and sons Richard P. (Julianne) Michael (Rita), Robert (Tess) and Patrick (Tyrina). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Richard, Christopher, Timothy, Riley, Edward, Kelly and Valentina.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 10 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul of the Cross R. C. Church at 11:15 AM Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

I just read the Obituary that Richie posted on the Courts I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Willy was always a pleasure to see and talk to . She always had a smile on her face. She will be missed Love, Loukie and family
To all the Vaughans
So sorry to hear of Willie's passing. We all have such fond memories of her especially the good old North St days. Fun Wednesday nights bowling with her, my mom and aunt Mary Lou. They had lots of laughs!! She will be missed and forever in our memories. Gerry Melleno Grillo and family.
