Edward J. D. Moylan Jr., “Eddie”, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the age of 65. Eddie was born at Margaret Hague and was a lifelong Jersey City resident.

A graduate Lincoln High School and lifelong parishioner of Saint Patrick's Church.
Edward was a proud US Army Vietnam era veteran, who served his time in Germany. He was a retired Teamster and was employed as a facilities manager at Computershare, Edison NJ for last 15 years. A gifted wood craftsman, whose talent he shared with those he loved from the fine dentil detail to his signature circular miterless trim corners.

Edward was predeceased by his parents Edward and Mary (nee Fitzgerald) and in-laws George and Ella Owen.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Melody (nee Owen) Moylan, his adoring daughters Melissa Moylan and Melody Lohin, and sons-in-law John Hanussak and Steven Lohin. Edward was a doting 'Paw' to his grandsons Aidan, Brendan, Connor and Ryan; his siblings and their spouses: Catherine and Edward Ryaness, Anastasia and Daniel Sweet, Margaret and Robert Weber, Mary and Jeremiah Mullins, Thomas and AnnMarie Moylan, and Patricia and Keith Tanner. Edward is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many cousins.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 4 to 8:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 9am prior to the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Jersey City at 10:00am.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
