Here are some special memories shared by family and friends.
I have known Mary since I was a little girl and I have been blessed enough to be like family to the Pollock's for many years. Mary was a very devoted, hard-working and caring mother not just to her own children but she was also a true,"neighborhood mother." Her pride in her family, home, St. Al's and, "good old Jersey City," was an intricate part of her life and personality. Mary's no-nonsense approach to life kept all of us in line and created hilarious stories and memories that will be cherished forever. The love and care that her husband, Kenneth as well as her children Andrew, Ellen and George gave to Mary throughout her illness was something to be admired. We will all miss Mary as she was one of those good ones where God broke the mold after creating her. Mary is now in her well-deserved place in heaven and I know she will continue to watch over those she loved. Godspeed Mary.

Mary was a very special woman to me. I transferred to St.Al's in the 6th grade and landed next to her only daughter, Ellen, who turned out to be my lifelong friend. I spent a lot time on Lexington Avenue at their house. She was always warm and welcoming. We developed our little friendship throughout the years, mostly talking about Ellen! But she did a wonderful thing for in my life - It was in the 80's before the Internet and I went to her travel agency and she planned my entire Elopement to my late husband Richie! Most important she kept it a secret even from Ellen. I am forever grateful for her beautiful wedding package she put together. I love her like my own! I know deep in my heart when Mary passed to the other side, Our God said: Mary, job well done! Enter the Kingdom of Heaven is yours???
