Pat Faber

Margaret "Pat" Faber passed away on September 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hoboken, she spent most of her life in Jersey City.

Pat was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Parish in Jersey City, where she was the recipient of the "Distinguished Parishioner Award." She was a Eucharistic Minister, Weekly Collection Counter, Captain of various Bazaar Booths for over 30 years, and the coordinator of the St. Nicholas Golden Age Club, organizing various bus trips and arranging social and Jersey City Senior Services.

Pat was also one of the original members of the St. Nicholas Fatima Society, where she served as President for 3 terms, in addition to holding the positions of Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer over the years.

Pat generously gave her time to many civic activities and was awarded the Jersey City "Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year" in 2005. This award was in recognition to the many hours dedicated to the North Street Seniors, AARP, Christ Hospital Auxiliary, Michael Yun Association Club, and Paterson Street Seniors. Pat was also employed by Jersey City's Welfare Department, where she worked as a Data Control Operator for 23 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph and grandson Joey. Loving mother to Patricia McCarthy (Allan), Barbara Romaine (Doug), Geraldine Cardon (David), Joseph Faber (Rhetter), Maureen Negio (John),
Marjorie Telmosse (Gerry), and Suzanne McCormack (Joe). Adoring grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Family and friends are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Monday morning at 9 AM, prior to a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Nicholas RC Church at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington
