Matthew T. Haley

Matthew T. Haley, of Bayonne, NJ, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on January 2, 2017 at the age of 81 years.  Matthew was retired from The American Stock Exchange after thirty five years of service.  He also was a bar tender for many years at the Lincoln Inn and Casino in the Park in Jersey City as well as the Shore Casino. 

Matthew was an Army veteran and enjoyed his family, children and grandchildren most of all.

Matthew is survived by his sons; Matthew J. Haley, Michael T. Haley, (Traci), Brian J. Haley, Shawn P. Haley, Scott G. Haley and Christopher J. Haley, (Lena); his sister, Lorraine Manzi and grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany, Brian, Dillon and Jesse Haley.  Matthew is predeceased by his brother, Robert Haley.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM.  Family and friends are asked to assemble at St. Joseph's Church in Jersey City on Friday at 9:30 AM for the funeral mass.  Cremation will follow privately.

Dad The pain in my heart is terrible. And empty. You were my Dad my friend my buddy. Its going to be so hard for me to go on without you. I'll miss you waiting me everyday day to get out of work. MATTHEW had a heart of gold and loved his sons and grandchildren more than his own life and would do anything for any one of them. God rest you DAD you are loved and will be missed.

The pain is so deep, cuts like a knife, and every morning since the world feels a little colder. I've lost my leader. This family's storming Norman. I look for reasons and fine none I'm happy with it, I love you DAD, I'll never forget the Saturday batting cage runs. The special trips for me for food because I wasn't happy with what was for dinner, the total out f you way you would go for everyone, I'm so sad, hope you are always with me.....

Dad Thanks for giving me discipline as a child when I needed it. Thanks for teaching me morals. Thanks for teaching me to treat others as I wanted to be treated. Thanks for showing me God. Thanks for All the Yankee games as a child. The loving support during the Scouting Years.Most of all Thanks for being my Dad.
