Rebecca Casia Payumo

Rebecca Casia Payumo of Jersey City passed away at Hackensack University Medical Center on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 while surrounded by her family.  She was 65.  

Born in Manila Phillipines, Rebecca was a resident of Jersey City for over 30 years.  A devoted Catholic, she was a longtime communicant of Saint Mary’s Parish.  Rebecca was beloved by all who knew her as being full of life, outgoing and an absolute fashionista.  She was the life of every party and had an amazing gift of always being able to make others laugh and be light-hearted.  She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Rebecca was predeceased by her parents, Iluminado and Maria Payumo and brother Rolando Payumo.  She is survived by her sisters, Aurora, Corazon, Milagros, Elvira and Pelita as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ on Saturday and Sunday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to assemble at the funeral home on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 9am prior to the funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, Jersey City at 10:00am.  Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum, Jersey City.

Here are some special memories shared by family and friends.
My deepest condolences. Losing a loved one is the hardest thing to go through.l went through the same thing and it was very difficult. What gave my sisters and me comfort where the words of Revelacion 21:3,4??God will wipe away all tears and death will be no more ??. I truly hope that these words will bring you comfort in this time of grief as it did for us.
Losing such a true and dear friend has bike my heart I am so lost for words my deepest sympathy goes out to the family I will miss Rebecca dearly you will never be forgotten my bff always Hazrah
